Veteran winter guide Ron Greenlaw founded Highland Powder to provide the ultimate in skiing. Several years ago Ron secured an area of 17,000 acres with the best ski terrain and snow of the industry.  Ron and his professional staff cater to skiers of all levels to insure a memorable adventure ski holiday. Highland Powder's 12 passenger snowcat provides access for our guests to the finest powder skiing available in the world. Come join us in the winter play ground of the Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia.

We ski all types of terrain and aspects within our 17,000 acre operating area. Majestic mountain peaks open into wide powder bowls with the choice of both treed and gladed runs.  Runs vary in length from 1,000 - 4,000 vertical feet and between 8,000 and 3,000 feet in elevation. Plenty of room to spread out and savour the good times!

The Highland Powder Skiing mountain guides are certified to meet or exceed the qualifications requirements of the Helicopter Snowcat Skiing Operators Association. They have extensive experience in backcountry skiing, avalanche forecasting and safety, first aid and mountain rescue, and group making assessments and decisions that take into account the safety and comfort of individual skiers and of the group.

Please follow your mountain guide's instructions. All skiers wear avalanche transceivers and are trained in their use. Guest Safety is of primary importance.

Our professional drivers operate the snowcat with your safety being number one. A skiing and snowcat safety orientation talk is given the evening of your arrival where everyone is equipped with top of the line gear and detailed questions can be fielded. 

• Highland Powder Skiing offers 3, 4, 5 & 6 day skiing and snowboard packages.
• Our 5 day package includes 6 nights accommodation (double occupancy), and all meals.
• Your week begins with Sunday supper and ends with Saturday breakfast.
• If requested, transportation is available from Nelson to Meadow Creek and return to Nelson on the following Saturday morning.
